The theme of this post is spring colours and light, with the exception of the image just above this text. I just started reading Jane Eyre and thought I'd include it on my list of favourites. I don't like to focus only on things that need to be bought. I've read a lot of Jane Austen, but only Wuthering Heights by Brontë when I was in grade ten or eleven. I'm looking forward to a good novel after reading narrative non-fiction lately. What are you reading right now? Have your read Jane Eyre?

All of the items on this favourites list are things that are at the top of my wish list right now. I love love love the Scout and Catalogue leather bag and have recently developed a thing for psychedelic cat objects. Go figure. I don't even have a cat!

  1. i saw that cat print on etsy several weeks ago, and it was love at first sight! did you ever get the fireworks cat? that was awesome, too.

you have to be lying about your age. i about fell out of my chair when i got your comment! earlier this afternoon i couldn't remember if i was going to be 29 or 30 in april, which i think is a bad sign...my memory is going.

    have a good weekend!

  2. I just re-read a book from my middle school days...which sounds funny, but they are still some of my favorite books: Dear America books. (They're from a historical period, a diary of a fictional girl living in a real time.) I wish I could find something similar but a bit more "grown up" to read. haha. I actually just really want to get a good list going of "must reads." I want to expand my mind while we're on the road :) And just get back to the wonderful feeling of sitting inside of a story...

    Love the egg print!

  6. Danielle: Totally got the galaxy cat. When I finally get around to framing it I'll do a post about it!

Jillian: I've never heard of those books before, but I totally know what you mean about wanting to recapture the feeling of reading books from your childhood. Anne of Green Gables is a big one in Canada.

Katie: I know! I've never seen anything like those necklaces before. I love the colours she uses, too.

Jazzy: Thanks! I've been enjoying your blog, too.

Micaela: Thank you so much for this comment. I love the post you did about Jane Eyre. I'm even more excited to get into this book now.

Andrea: I like to present a mix of different things in these posts.

    Kittenrocket: Awww, thanks. :)

  7. The picture of the dizzy cat is awesome!
And hey, 50 books a year sounds like a good number! I shall aim for a specific number too... Haven't read Jane Eyre yet, but have it on a shelf, and on the list of things to read...
