focus

Sometimes I can't focus because I know that this (blue skies, ocean, mountains) is on the other side of the door. Luckily today it's snowing and probably pretty cold out there, so I can stay home and get some work done. At least, that's the idea. In prime procrastinator style I've put together this playlist. The selections reflect my scattered tastes and thought processes. Oh yeah, and a recent reminder that Elliot Smith was amazing and I should go back to being obsessed with him. I feel like this is all '90s music, even though I don't think any of it was really from the '90s.

Hope your week is off to a great start!

  2. WOWOW. No wonder you can't focus. I have enough trouble staying focused and I live in the ugly, disgusting city of Rochester, NY. Hopefully moving somewhere gorgeous in a few months though. Pretty picture, thanks for posting it :)

  4. I find that the sun distracts me alot too, the weather today was gross...it does make it easier to work though.

P.S. I think I'm allergic to my Hyacinths!!

  5. Katie: Aww, if it weren't for the ocean I'm sure there'd be lots of smog here, too.

Courtney: Yeah, Vancouver is a pretty photogenic city. Your description of Rochester makes it sound terrible! Surely it can't be all bad?

Clare: Mountains are definitely a selling point of Vancouver. Not too many cities in the world have this kind of context. :)

Grace: You know what it's like! It's hard to stay inside on a nice day in February in Vancouver. Allergic! Noooo! They smell so good!
